BUILDINGS

While we love our beautiful heritage church and manse they are in dire need of some love. With this in mind we are undertaking a process to develop the site, including restoring and renovating the church building into a multipurpose community space.

ABOUT

At Brunswick Baptist Church we strive to be a multicultural community of embrace grounded in Jesus.

Inspired by Paul’s vision in Galatians 3:28, we journey together as neither Jew nor Gentile, citizen nor refugee, young nor old, gay nor straight, healthy nor sick, male nor female, for we are all made one in Christ Jesus.

We acknowledge the Ancestors, Elders and families of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation who are the traditional owners of the land on which we gather to worship. We pay respect to the deep knowledge embedded within the Aboriginal community and their ownership of Country.

We acknowledge that the land on which we gather is a place of age old ceremonies of celebration, initiation and renewal and that the Kulin people’s living culture has a unique role in the life of this region. We honour this history and their Elders, past and present, and commit ourselves to care for the land with them and work towards reconciliation between them and this land and its people.
